Transform your Space with a Wallpaper Mural!
Watch us install a Graham and Brown Wall Mural in this 2 piece bathroom!
Do you have a room that could use some character? Not sure if paint will do the trick? Why not step your game up and try installing some wallpaper- or better yet, a wall mural, like this one we installed (from Graham and Brown). When it comes to transforming a space, there’s nothing more impactful than wallpaper.
Not sure what a wall mural is? We don't blame you, neither did we. In a nutshell, a wall mural is just wallpaper without a repeat. In other words, each piece is its own image that connects to the pieces before and after it. Unlike wallpaper, each section of a wall mural is numbered, and can only be layer in a...

    I'm late to the party, but thank you for posting this video. Building a new house and I've been looking at Portola Roman Clay paints. I'm sure their formula is a variation, proprietary to them of course, of what you a doing here. I'll be doing this on a range hood and in a home office to give the subtle look of roman clay.

      You’re welcome! But in all honesty this doesn’t compare to Portola paint, their stuff is incredible. This system does lead to good results also though!

    38 years of framing with lots of remodel in between. Now All phase Remodel. FRAMING BELT DONT CUT IT! So if you’re a framing carpenter don’t buy it. I haven’t purchased this yet, but I have tried many belts. The cost don’t matter if you’re a professional and looking for comfort saving time and money is a big issue. Mainly the framing belts too big bulky hammer swinging around depending where you wear it at and what phase of construction your in. I wear mine in the rear. Pouches are bulky when I’m trying to squeeze between studs and a house with cabinets and finished items, always gotta be extra careful so I’m not scratching anything. I need to carry electrical tape, scissors, razor, knife, tape measure speed square small level punches, finish nails. And framing nails. The list is endless what I have to carry I’ve been looking at this Vest for a couple months, fixing to pull the trigger on it possibly still hesitant, my professional opinion if you are wanting to use outdoors for framing houses, this is not the way to go. Carrying a five in one knife tiling tools electrical pliers, wire strippers, shark bite tools. It’s crazy. I don’t know if this vest will do it because it may be too heavy, be careful with suspenders or vests start causing back pain with people who have issues. Hope this helps you guys that are looking. I made the transition to suspenders with a framing belt so I could hook stuff on the suspenders had back issues for a couple years and finally got straightened out and now I’m used to it. It was growing pain for me only time will tell if or when I pull the trigger for this. Using a Milwaukee belt now with electrical bag on one side framing pouch on the other. Bags are light and durable. But not after I load it. On second pair of Milwaukee suspenders. The Phone pouch small but fits iPhone 11 Pro Max with a case. Tight but fits. I really appreciate this video. May have to purchase as a secondary and hope I don’t have to flip flop back and fourth to much. Man thanks for this video. Guys I hope this helps. I have wasted hundreds on tool belts that don’t work. I always ended up buying two or three belts with pouches and building my own tool system. I hope you have a license to drive your nails be safe and don’t hit the wrong nail. 😅

    would you recommend the mdf board to be different color than the wall paint? something like grey or black or metallic silver?

    • @RefreshHomeImprovements
      @RefreshHomeImprovements 14 часов назад

      For this, we decided to paint the underside and the face of the mdf shelves in the same paint/colour as the walls (so that they would disappear as much as possible), but painted the inside of the shelves and the walls above in the same paint as the ceiling (White). Our logic was to make the effect of the lighting (brightness and true colour) as impactful as possible. If you want the shelves themselves to stand out more (rather than disappear) you could definitely play around with painting them in different colours, or even a different sheen. That could be really cool 👍

    Doesn't this seriously restrict air flow?

    • @RefreshHomeImprovements
      @RefreshHomeImprovements 2 дня назад

      Great question. It is a heavily debated topic, but the short answer is yes. Aria/Fittes list the air flow specs of their various models on their website, and recommend sizing up to avoid any issues. We always recommend you check with your HVAC professional before making any changes to your system. In most cases changing a few vents won’t make a difference, but it’s always better to be safe than sorry 👍

    Ahh yes, just keep coating it and coating it at $160 per square meter. What a joke. Guys, do 1 coat, slap on another, be as rough as you can. No one calls it a smart liso or whatever the hell that was. You can get this done in both coast, go to your search bar above and get someone to teach you how to burnish in a single coat. You just put on the first coat flat, sand it if you really want, then burnish the heck out of the top coat. Done. What on earth do you mean cut the seal? Just put tape down, once the silicone goes touch dry, pull it off.

    Would any of the magvents work if the our dryer vent duct is vertical inside the wall and has an elbow that connects the tubing from the interior wall (vertical) to the elbow and then from elbow to the dryer (horizontal)? Our dryer is on upper level townhouse in one of those laundry closet style locations, so vent goes straight up through the roof)

    Sorry - I do not get it - how do you match the texture of the wall?

    • @RefreshHomeImprovements
      @RefreshHomeImprovements 7 дней назад

      In this example the wall isn’t textured. In this case, it’s simply a matter of making the smooth patched area blend in with a wall thats been rolled many times already. Our best advice in this instance is the paint the patch with a thicker nap than the wall has (might need to do this a few times), then paint the whole thing with a finer nap roller to blend it in with the rest of the wall. If the wall is textured, once the patch is completed, you would apply the textured finish to the smooth patched area and try your best to blend it in with the surrounding wall (not an easy task). 👍

    • @RefreshHomeImprovements
      @RefreshHomeImprovements 7 дней назад

      To be completely honest, we wouldn’t recommend installing a system like this on a wall/frame that is severely out of plumb. The fact that there is no casing means that you have very little room for error, or to hide imperfections when it’s finished. Hope that helps

    • @RefreshHomeImprovements
      @RefreshHomeImprovements 7 дней назад

      In this video you are absolutely correct- and we thought that was the best it could get… But after playing around with a bunch of them and trying different techniques and paints we were legitimately able to get the patch to disappear to a very acceptable level (~95% invisible). The key seems to be a VERY thick coat of paint (use a thick nap roller) around the perimeter of the patch on the initial pass. Using a paint that has a high build really helps- but you’re sort of stuck using whatever is on the wall already 🤷. Let us know if you’d like us to send you a link to one of the more recent videos we did with these 👍
